Not just recently, but during my entire lifetime (63 years) there has been constant bickering between the Democrats (tax increases on weathly) and Republicans (government spending cuts.)  The net result from this banter during my lifetime has been inacation, stalemate and "pralysis from analysis."
I see nothing to suggest the next 63 years will be any different.  Meanwhile, the middle class (the  socio-economic backbone of our society),  which does not benefits from either positions, continues to ask the congress and President of the U.S. to move on to more immediate issues (e.g., like the crumbling infrastructure of this country) as it contemplate 63 more years of this ludicrous debate.
